Governor Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to immediately investigate Mission Regional Medical Center following reports that the hospital advertised “Birth Packages in South Texas” to foreign nationals in an apparent effort to profit from birth tourism.
