McAllen Public Library Launches Virtual Summer Reading Challenge for All Ages

McAllen Public Library invites children, teens, and adults to sign up for the 2020 Virtual Summer Reading Challenge, a six-week literacy-based program for all ages! The program runs Monday, June 1 through Friday, July 10, 2020. Registration can be done as a family or individually. Complete all 10 challenges and earn a cool prize this summer. Register online at Log in and earn badges throughout the challenge!

“We’re excited to meet families where they are by bringing our popular Summer Reading Program to our patrons, wherever they may be,” said Kate Horan, Library Director. “This year’s theme is Imagine Your Story and we invite families to join us for a summer of enrichment and fun.”

Join the McAllen Public Library for the 2020 Virtual Summer Reading Challenge Kick-Off Party, streaming live on Facebook (@mcallenlibrary, @MPLKids, @MPL.teenspace, or @MPLAdults) on Monday, June 1, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.! It will be a full day of exciting live story-times, reading challenges, family crafts, boredom challenges, and more!
