28th Annual VAMOS Golf Tournament – March 2, 2024

On behalf of the Board of Directors for the Valley Alliance of Mentors for Opportunities and Scholarships (VAMOS), we extend an invitation to be part of our upcoming Annual VAMOS Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Champion Lakes Golf Course in McAllen, Texas.

The VAMOS Annual Golf Tournament has been a tradition that we are proud to uphold, as it serves a noble purpose. Each year, we come together to raise scholarship funds for economically disadvantaged students. The pursuit of education is a powerful tool for our students to overcome financial barriers and achieve their dreams.

VAMOS is a 501 c3 non-profit organization founded by local business leaders in 1996 in response to the low university graduation rate among students in the Rio Grande Valley. Since its inception, VAMOS has awarded $25 million in scholarships to 1,187 students. We award four-year renewable scholarships to eligible students and pair them with mentors who maintain communication and support throughout their college journey. This has proven to be successful as the graduation rate among VAMOS Scholars is 96 percent, and they attend universities locally, across Texas, and some out of state.

As a sponsor, you will receive several benefits, including prominent recognition in event materials, social media coverage, and the awards ceremony. This event promises to be a day of fund, camaraderie, and philanthropy. It will include the golf tournament (AM and PM flights), an awards luncheon for the morning flight, an awards dinner for the afternoon fight, and the Lexus drawing.
