Valley Initiative for Development and Advancement (VIDA) is offering paid tuition, tools, and books for the Commercial Electrician Program starting January 11, 2021. Classes will be offered in McAllen and Brownsville.

Despite the pandemic, it’s a great time to start a new career or to upskill.  Anyone having knowledge in construction or electrician experience, the program will put you closer to the electrician license.

If you have no experience, the program will get you on a career path to achieve the Journeyman License. With the large projects such as the LNG’s and a the steel mill coming to the Port of Brownsville coupled with the continued growth in the Rio Grande Valley, electricians will continue to be in high demand.

VIDA pays for tuition, books, tools, and childcare.  Graduates are placed immediately after graduation.  Contact Mr. Isidro Ramos at VIDA at (956) 903-1900 Ext. 116 or visit www.vidacareers.org and click on the apply now button.
