The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the UTRGV Small Business Development Center invites small business owners to attend a free patent and trademark workshop on February 26, form 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., at the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, located at 602 W. The “Intellectual Property Protection” workshop features a patent attorney discussing the protection of assets, such as business ideas, brand identities, products, goods, services, and processes, etc. Companies of all sizes, including small businesses, can be the victims of intellectual property theft, potentially impacting their bottom lines.

“Business owners will learn about intellectual property ownership and licensing and the risks that may exist when businesses do not protect their assets,” share Marivel Mata, a Business Advisor with the UTRGV SBDC.

The session is presented by Ochoa and Associates, PC and hosted by the UTRGV SBDC and Edinburg Chamber of Commerce. There is no fee but pre-registration is required. To register for this workshop or for more information, please call the Edinburg Chamber at (956) 383-4974.
