The City of Mission continues to strengthen ties with neighbors in Mexico, by signing the City of Francisco I. Madero, located in the state of Coahuila, Mexico. The City was named after the Revolutionary hero Francisco I. Madero, a native of nearby Parras de la Fuente.

City of Mission Mayor Norberto Salinas and Mayor Ing. David Gustavo Flores Lavenant officially signed the agreement during a special Signing Ceremony that took place on October 24, 2014 in the Mission City Council Chambers.

The objective of this Sister City Agreement is to carry out cooperative actions with our Mexican counterparts, by promoting commerce, tourism, investments, and culture. TBB
